Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for a CBA Fitness Membership

By registering for a CBA Fitness membership, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all members.

Membership Eligibility

  1. CBA Fitness facilities are for women only.
  2. Members must be at least 18 years of age at time or joining.
  3. For those with existing health conditions/concerns - we strongly recommend getting clearance from your GP before signing up as a member

Membership Fees and Payments
Membership options range from 12-months to no term contracts and members agree to pay all fees for the entire term of their chosen membership.

  1. Payment - Membership fees are paid in advance on a fortnightly or monthly basis via direct debit. By signing up for a membership you agree to have funds available for the required schedule. Missed payments may incur penalties.
  2. Late Payments - Consistent overdue payments may result in termination of membership.
  3. Changes to Membership - CBA Fitness will provide at least 14-days notice for any changes to memberships
  4. End of Membership Term - Once your original membership term is completed your payments will automatically roll over to an open term contract at your original membership rate, unless you choose to cancel.

Suspensions

  1. Memberships can be suspended or put on hold for a maximum of two weeks each year, for travel or other reasons.
  2. Suspension for longer periods of time are only permitted due to injury or pregnancy and will be approved on a case by case basis. Medical evidence is required.
  3. To request to put your membership on hold please email us with at least 2 weeks notice ash@cbafitness.co.nz

Cancellations
Contract memberships all have a minimum term.

  1. If you have completed your original contract term and wish to cancel, we require 2 weeks notice, taken from the date your cancellation email is received.
  2. If you are still within your original contract term, we require 2 weeks notice plus a cancellation fee of $100 which is due within your 2 week notice period.
  3. 'No Term memberships can be cancelled at any time with $0 cancellation fee provided a minimum of 7 days notice is given.

Termination of Membership

  1. Gym-Initiated Termination: CBA Fitness reserves the right to terminate or suspend memberships for any reason, including but not limited to, failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions, disruptive behaviour, or damage to equipment.

Refunds/Credits

  1. We reserve our right to refuse any changes, refunds or credits to membership payments. We will consider your request and may offer you a credit. However we reserve our rights to refuse any changes, refunds or credits unless it is of reasonable action at our discretion.

Use of Facilities

  1. Equipment and facilities - Members are expected to treat the gym facilities and equipment with care and respect. This includes the carpark and surrounding areas, main gym, kids and bathroom area and all equipment within.
  2. Cleanliness and hygiene - Members are expected to wipe down equipment after use and clean up any mess made including spilled drinks, chalk and sweat. Equipment is to be returned to its correct place, taking care and consideration to avoid damage or negligence.
  3. Respect - Members are expected to treat all staff and members with respect and kindness. This includes sharing equipment and workout space, being considerate when filming at the gym and discouraging gossip and the use of explicit language.

Kids Lounge

  1. Children onsite are the responsibility of their parent/guardian. Staff are not expected to mind children.
  2. Children are not to play on the gym equipment as this is a safety hazard
  3. The kids lounge and bathroom areas are to be treated with respect and maintained to a high standard. Coloured drinks and foods that stain are discouraged from being brought to the gym.
  4. Members are expected to clean up after their children, including removing all rubbish and food scraps, cleaning up any mess, vacuuming if necessary and ensuring children are not misbehaving. All nappies must be disposed of in the outside bins.
  5. Members are discouraged from bringing unwell children to the gym, especially those with contagious illness such as cold and flu, chicken pox, hand foot and mouth, diarrhoea etc.
  6. Failure to adhere to the above may result in lounge access being prohibited.

Health and Safety

  1. Members should inform Coaches of any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations prior to sessions starting so that Coaches can provide appropriate modifications where necessary.
  2. We encourage members to maintain a high level of hygiene at the gym, including wearing deodorant and clean clothing.
  3. Members are discouraged from attending sessions when they are unwell - this includes bringing unwell children to the gym

Media Consent

  1. By participating in CBA Fitness sessions and events, members grant permission to use any photographs or video footage taken of them for marketing, promotional, or media purposes. Members who do not wish to appear in such materials must notify the gym in writing at time of joining.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

  1. CBA Fitness reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and will take effect after a 7-day notice period. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

  1. By joining CBA Fitness, members acknowledge that physical activities carry inherent risks of injury. Members acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating in the services provided by CBA Fitness, including the use of CBA Fitness facilities and premises with the knowledge of the risks involved. And hereby assume all responsibility of possible injury, illness, or death.
  2. Members agree to assume all responsibility for these risks and release CBA Fitness, its owners and staff from and against any and all liability for loss, damage, injury, expense or cause of action.
  3. Members acknowledge that they fully understand the terms of this waiver, and have signed it voluntarily.
